Novel Nano- Multifunctional Finishing Technology of Textile

    Our group has explored a novel nano-multifunctional finishing technology of textile, which can turn keratin porous textile wool clothes from hydrophobic to hydrophilic, make people more comfortable and endow wool products many new features. For example, this technique can make all the tatting and knitting wool fabric in the market fast-absorbing and quick-drying. Most importantly, this process can be expanded to set up a new type of facile multifunctional finishing platform of textile, and also can build its multifunctional functionalities based on micro-world. This platform consists of self-cleaning, anti-bacterial, deodorization, anti-UV, flame-retardant, antistatic, controlled release of drugs or flavors and other integrated functions, which gives us the hope for the integration of ˇ°the second skin of human bodyˇ±. The biggest difference of this technology with other nanomaterials finishing is that the fabric processed by this technology has excellent washability. Its new properties will still remain intact even when the clothes are washed many times in accordance with international standards.
