Professor Fangqiong Tang, graduated from Department of Chemistry, Beijing Normal University in 1970. Now she is the professor of Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Professor Tang is an well-known scientist in international nanomaterials field. From last 90s, she has put forward the concept that the nanomaterials should be controlled prepared according to the actual demands which has now been the basic concept for the researches to carry out researches in this field and has a far-reaching impact in nanotechnology development. Her group has been devoted to controlled preparing the nanomaterials as required and the applications on two fields: one is the application on device assembly of molecular electronics, the other is the high targeting and controlled release of nanomedicine. From 2000, she has been the chief undertaker of 2 projects granted by Major Research plan of the National Natural Science Foundation, 9 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 6 projects of Hi-Tech Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), 1 project of National Major Research plan, 3 projects of Innovation Foundation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 3 projects of Beijing Natural Science Foundation. She has carried out a wide range of domestic and international cooperative researches and was invited by Professor Kijio Kon-no for cooperation on nanomaterials preparation with controllable size, structure and morphology. From 1992 to 1994, she worked as a guest researcher in Department of Chemistry Engineering, Tokyo University of Science, Japan. From 1996 to 1997, she is the guest associate professor in Department of Chemistry Engineering, Tokyo University of Science, Japan. From 2000 to 2001, she was invited to Hong Kong University of Science and Technology for cooperation on photonic crystal. Prior to 1998, as a senior researcher in Academician Long Jiang group, Professor Tang took part in the project ¡°study on the basis of molecular device¡± granted by National Natural Science Foundation of China and the project of ¡°molecular electronics¡± granted by Innovation Foundation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prof. Tang has received a number of awards in colloid and interface field, including 6 CAS awards in Science& Technology Progress and National Award in Science& Technology Progress. Prof. Tang is a senior reviewer for journals, such as: Journal of the American Chemical Society£¬Angewandte Chemie, Advanced Materials, Small£¬Langmuir, Biosensor & Bioelectronics£¬The Journal of Physical Chemistry£¬Journal of Colloid and interface Science, Macromolecules, Chinese Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Chinese Journal of Chemical Physics and Chinese Journal of Process Engineering. She has held 67 invention patents (44 of them are authorized) and authored over 100 journal articles indexed by SCI and EI.
